...heels ‘til 9cm, from 9am ‘til 9pm

Whoever met me 10 years ago would have never predicted I would have launched a blog for “9cm and lower heels”. I could have never guessed it myself. The reason being, I used to work from 9am-9pm with a 10cm heel and higher, all year round. Not only I was younger, but trends then favored extreme silhouettes. And I gladly collected - since my first job in the shoe Industry - hundreds of these elements of obsession (and torture), that remain nowadays locked in my closet most of the time.

What happened in these past years in the Industry? Well, it is no secret that lower heels have for years catered older women, and tended to look a bit old. But quite recently, the world finally started to evolve: women of all ages and cultures are more and more active, having to divide their day into workout, a career, kids, social life, travelling, and relaxing. And while those 10cm heels might still have their glamour and sexiness, practicality has been massively changing the Fashion Industry. Lower heels can also look cool, and even make women feel young, sexy, modern.

Not too long ago I realized “I needed new shoes”. It seemed crazy, considering the beautiful collection I proudly own, that I could not find - aside from some flats - easier shoes to wear among all my stiletto friends. That was my reality check.

Talking to many women (all ages), I noticed ALL of us share the same desire: to find beautiful, more wearable fashion shoes. My sister, just a year older than me, shared the same “issue”. Plus, she had just had a baby... and new WEARABLE shoes were a must.

A new chapter of my shoe obsession then opened: sneakers, ballerinas, mid heels, medium-high... ‘Til 9 heels. That’s when the idea for this community was born, just a little while ago. I called it “Till Nine” (instead of ‘til) since it seemed more proper, less of a “slang”. “Till” also precedes “until” in time/history.

OUR TARGET READERS

So, you’re stylish and grew smarter about your shoe choices... and maybe like me, you realized at some point in your life you don’t want to torture yourself daily. We’re talking to you!

Please note this community does NOT take into focus “comfort shoes” (i.e. “orthopedic”). There are other blogs that cover the “comfort” category and our mission here is to research/share wearable shoes that make women look gorgeous in any age. We will cover mostly luxury inspirational shoes as well as medium-priced value-for-money brands... as we believe high quality is mandatory for a good fit.

There are also some interesting brands committed into doing both (comfort shoes with better design) nowadays, and we’ll be checking them out as well.

If you relate to this community, please welcome and subscribe! Don’t be shy, let us know any comments, questions, and ideas that come to your mind. And have a sit... those heels might be killing you :).

THE LOGO ‘9

till-nine-bar-2-1

The logo was defined as an apostrophe with a geometric and rectangular look, which can be read both as the number 9 and recall the apostrophe of ‘til. It was studied to be sophisticated and minimal, representing also a chat icon to “talk about shoes”... When rotated, it becomes our “pattern”, explored as part of our identity.

Black is the essence of elegance and a must in Italian style. White plays an important role in design, as it reinforces blank space, leaving room for imagination and easily matching anything.

WELCOME TO TILL NINE...!
